OFFICIAL REPORTS

Supervisor Uhl

Residents have notified the township that Mr. Curry has been trucking materials off his pond site on Irish Road.  This may be a violation of the court order that states that his time has lapsed in completing the pond on his property.  Ordinance Officer Louie Galloro has been contacted for inspections.  The company contracted for the recent sandblasting and painting of the siren tower was contacted regarding complaints that paint from the spraying reached some vehicles and property in the area.  Their insurance company has been notified.

Assessing Department

July Board of Review will be held next month to correct errors and omissions.  The deadline was June 1, 2008.

Building Department

The meeting in Ida regarding the ATV track will be held on July 8, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.  A meeting was held with Attorney Jim Petrangelo and representative from Mr. Curry’s mortgage company.  No information has been received back from the company so township restoration progress will proceed.  Equipment and trucking will be monitored on the site.

Trustee Larson

The appraisal on the proposed fire hall site is continuing and will and will be placed on the agenda when complete.  Cemetery Sexton Steve Beaufait notified the township of an overturned stone at the cemetery and corrected the problem.

Trustee Lazette

The P.M.S. representative will be obtaining samples from the roads chosen as test sites.

Trustee Juckette

Concerns have been voiced regarding the recent ATV track proposal in Ida Township.  The Dundee Township ordinance regarding noise and dust control addresses ATV tracks but is written in general terms.  Trustee Lazette will address this at the next planning commission meeting.  The road commission was informed of a broken catch basin on Meanwell Road and residents witnessed road commission workers driving by the site however no repair has been done.  The road commission will be contacted again.  Residents complained that roads are being grated after chloride has been applied.  The road commission will be notified if complaints are received on those roads regarding dust.  No interest has been received in the recent attempts to sell the fire truck that was replaced with the 2007 pumper.  A company that sells trucks located on US-23 and M-59 will be contacted.  This option will be attempted until September 1, 2008 at which time a website based sales company will be contacted.

Trustee Winkelman

The siren tower is completed and the siren is expected back by the end of the week.  Dundee Castings has offered to sandblast and paint the siren for no charge.

Treasurer Sontag

The tax bills are ready to be mailed by June 30, 2008.  Negotiations are continuing with Monroe Bank & Trust for tax collection at their banks.

Motion by Treasurer Sontag and supported by Clerk Lupu to re-appoint Carol Furrow as Deputy Treasurer for the remaining Treasurer’s term.  Motion carried.

Clerk Lupu
