Dundee Township Planning Commission
Public Hearing - December 19, 2007
Zoning Ordinance Re-Write Public Hearing
Chairman Art Bronson called the Public Hearing to order at 6:45 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and roll call was taken at this time, the following members were present: Jeanette Brockman, Ed Proctor, Chuck Ruehs, David Sedlar, George Horkey, Gary Lazette and Building Inspector Bob Madaski.
Vern Guindon was present.
Mr. Bronson at this time explained that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance, specifically the residential and agricultural districts. This is a reorganization of the Ordinance to make it a more user-friendly document and also to add a few items. Commission would then make a recommendation to the Township Board whether or not to adopt the changes.
Vern Guindon said that he would like to see under nurseries in the Agricultural District language that states plant material only. He pointed out that at a November 4, 2002 meeting of the ZBA it was determined that under Nurseries it should read plant material only. Chairman Bronson noted that they would take this matter under advisement and pass it along to the Township Board. Chairman Bronson also said that he would contact Mr. Purdy about the proper verbiage of the description.
With discussion among the board complete, the Chair then asked for a motion. Mr. Sedlar moved to recommend to the Township Board to adopt the changes set forth in the presentation prepared by Jeff Purdy. Mr. Proctor seconded his motion and all were in favor.
With nothing further to consider, Ms. Brockman moved to adjourn the meeting, Mr. Ruehs supported this and all were in favor. Meeting adjourned 6:58 PM.
