A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present were: Supervisor Uhl, Treasurer Hunt, Clerk Sanders and Trustees: Gary Lazette, CJ Horkey, Ken Jaworski & Travis Horkey. Trustee CJ Horkey moved to amend the meeting agenda to include the total cost of bills paid on 2/17/22, Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried. Trustee CJ Horkey moved to approve the regular meeting minutes from January 25, 2022 & waive the reading of such. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried. Trustee Travis Horkey moved to approve the budget workshop minutes from February 8, 2022. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried. Trustee CJ Horkey moved to accept the Treasurers report for January 2022. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried. Trustee CJ Horkey moved to approve the Correspondence, place on file & waive the reading. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment requested at this time. OFFICIAL REPORTS: Library Reports: No updates to report at this time. Assessing Department: Supervisor Uhl reported that all of the Board of Review members have finished their required training. Building Department: No updates to report at this time. Supervisor Uhl: Supervisor Uhl suggested that the Charter Township discussion be added to the next meeting agenda. Supervisor Uhl also reported on the Gloff Rd. project. Material prices have gone up & are currently estimated to be $19,000.00, and the complete project is estimated to be $38,000.00. The project will be bid out by the Monroe County Road Commission. Trustee C.J.: Trustee CJ reported the firemen have had 190 calls so far for 2022. Trustee Lazette: No report at this time. Trustee Travis Horkey: Trustee Horkey reported that he attended a solar farm meeting in Ida recently. There is a lot of information to consider on the subject and projects tend to be 2000+ acres.
Trustee Jaworski: Trustee Jaworski reported that he has seen light up signs being used in Deerfield & wondered if that would be a beneficial addition to Wells Rd & Dixon, as well as Wells Rd & Ida West. Treasurer Hunt: No report at this time. Clerk Sanders: No report at this time.
OLD BUSINESS: Thers is no old business to be discussed for this meeting. NEW BUSINESS: Water District Letters: Clerk Sanders reported that as of today, no letters had been returned. Mayfly Music Festival Donation Form: The donation form is due by April 1, 2022. Trustee Ken Jaworski moved to wait and make a decision at a later date, on if the board will continue to participate. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. The motion passed 6-1 (Voting yes: Trustee Gary Lazette, Trustee CJ Horkey, Trustee Ken Jaworski, Clerk Sanders, Treasurer Hunt & Supervisor Uhl; Voting no: Trustee Travis Horkey)
Review the fund balance policy: Supervisor Uhl went over what the current policy includes. Trustee CJ Horkey moved to continue with the current policy, Resolution 2011-19, as is. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.
ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL BOARD COMMENTS: None at this time. Motion made by Trustee Travis Horkey to pay the bills from February 10, 2022 in the amount of $5,850.68. Trustee CJ Horkey supported. Motion carried.
Motion made by Trustee Gary Lazette to pay the bills from February 17, 2022 in the amount of $11,576.02. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.
Treasurer Hunt made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried. The meeting ended at 7:23pm. The next meeting will be March 8, 2022.
