A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday June 24, 2025. Supervisor Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Present were Trustees: Alana Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Tim Miles, Gary Lazette, Supervisor Lewis, Clerk Ziesmer, Treasurer Hunt. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call.

 

• Supervisor Lewis motioned to revise the agenda, removing Kent and Suydan Drain letter from Correspondence. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.
• Trustee Miles motioned to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on June 10, 2025. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to approve the Treasurer’s Report for May 2025. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
• Supervisor Lewis motioned to waive the reading of the one correspondence and place it on file. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.

 

CORRESPONDENCE: Planning Commission Meeting Minutes for June 18, 2025.

                                   

PUBLIC COMMENT: Delmer Cilley expressed his concerns of the road conditions on Cake Rd and Davis Rd.

SUPERVISOR LEWIS: Discussed possible Carbon Sequestration location in Milan Township.

 

TRUSTEE TIM MILES: Working on the Revize website and e-mails for the Township. Gave cost paperwork for Revize vs. hosting our own website. Supervisor Lewis motioned to table the Revize discussion until we hear back from the Lawyer. Trustee Miles seconded. Motion carried.

 

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY: No report at the time

 

OLD BUSINESS: None

 

NEW BUSINESS:

• West Shore Services, Inc will start upgrading the Early Warning Siren System in Monroe County.
• Supervisor Lewis motioned to waive the reading of the New Master Plan and place on file for the next meeting. Clerk Ziesmer seconded. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to approve the 123Net Metro Act Permit Application. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
• The Planning Commission approved the R & D Rental site plan on South Custer for Brian Palka. Supervisor Lewis motioned to approve the Palka Special Approval. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Trustee Jaworski and Trustee Lazette opposed. Motion carried.

 

Additional board comments:

 

Treasurer Hunt motion to pay bills from June 23, 2025 in the amount of $25,033.11.  Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Jaworski motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:53 p.m. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.
