REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

 

A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, July 26, 2022.  Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present were: Trustees: Gary Lazette, CJ Horkey, and Ken Jaworski, Supervisor Uhl &Treasurer Hunt. Clerk Sanders & Trustee Travis Horkey were excused. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented with the correction to “Roll call of Officials by Clerk Sanders” to “Roll call of Officials by Treasurer Hunt”. Trustee Jaworski supported. Motion carried. Trustee Lazette made a motion to approve the minutes from June 28, 2022 with the correction to the spelling of “minutes” & to the official report for Trustee Lazette. Trustee CJ Horkey supported. Motion carried. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to accept the Treasurers report for June 2022. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

OFFICIAL REPORTS:

Building Department: No report at this time.

Supervisor Uhl: Supervisor Uhl scheduled the annual meeting with the MCRC was scheduled for September 14, 2022 at 1:30PM. Supervisor Uhl, Trustee Jaworski & Trustee Lazette & Treasurer Hunt had a meeting with Brian Schroder from Dundee high school & August Ost from Dundee elementary, to discuss the concerns regarding the traffic & new plans for the drop off/pick up route. There was also an update on Gloff Rd.

Trustee C.J. Horkey: Fire Chief Motylinski discussed using the brush truck and 1 other truck for the Monroe County Fair derby on Tuesday. Trustee Horkey gave an update on calls for the Fire Department. There were 91 calls for May 2022 and 610 calls in total for the year so far. Chief Motylinski anticipates 1200 calls for the year.  Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the Dundee Fire Department to have the manpower & 2 trucks needed for the fair on Tuesday August 2, 2022. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

Trustee Gary Lazette: Trustee Lazette discussed correspondence with the attorney regarding the cost to develop an ordinance that will restrict the size of an electrical service on a house and outbuildings. After talking to the attorney, the estimate was roughly $600-$750 depending on the research that the attorney would need to do. Trustee Lazette made a motion to ask the attorney to begin working on an ordinance that will restrict the size of electrical service, based on the zoning ordinance & with sensitivity to the needs of the agricultural community, not to exceed $800.00. Trustee Jaworski supported. Motion carried. Trustee Lazette presented a photo of a chair as an option for new chairs for the board.   

Trustee Travis Horkey: Trustee Horkey was excused.

Trustee Ken Jaworski: Trustee Jaworski gave an update on a tree that’s down at Oak Grove. Ricks Lawn serviced plans to clean up the tree. The survey company is scheduled to come next week.

 

Treasurer Lisa Hunt: Treasurer Hunt gave an update on delinquent property taxes & tax notices.

 

Clerk Sharayah Sanders: Clerk Sanders was excused.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS: There was no old business at this time.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

*Ordinance amendments for wind & solar energy: The board discussed the current wind & solar energy ordinance. There will be a need to extend the moratorium so that questions can be sent and answered & more discussion can be had.

 

*Peddler Ordinance Discussion: After some discussion, the peddler discussion will be added to an agenda in the future.

 

 

In additional board comments, Trustee CJ Horkey asked about the Ordinance Officer & discussed that a Township resident expressed their appreciation for the Lowe Rd Stone.

Treasurer Hunt also discussed the WIFI information. Hopes to have Dan start that next week.

 

Supervisor Uhl made a motion to pay the bills from 7/19/22 in the amount of $18,478.65. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to pay the bills from 7/21/22 in the amount of $9,077.53. Trustee Lazette supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Jaworski made a motion to adjourn, Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

The next meeting will be August 9, 2022 at 7pm.
