A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 

Present were: Trustees: Gary Lazette, Travis Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Alana Horkey, Supervisor Uhl, & Treasurer Hunt, Clerk Anderson. Clerk Anderson did roll call.

 

• Trustee Travis Horkey motioned to approve the agenda with revisions. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.
• Trustee Lazette motioned to approve the regular meeting minutes held on February 28, 2023 as present for the March 14^th meeting. Trustee Alana Horkey seconded. Trustee Travis Horkey Abstained. Motion carried.
• Trustee Jaworski motioned to waive the Correspondence reading and place on file. Treasurer Hunt seconded motion. Motion Carried.

                         

PUBLIC COMMENT: No comment at this time.

 

OFFICIAL REPORTS

LIBRARY: Jennifer reported 3000 items were checked out in February. She reviewed library activities.  

 

ASSESSING: Supervisor Uhl reported the Board of Review completed their review on March 13^th & 14^th.

 

BUILDING DEPARTMENT: No report at this time.

 

SUPERVISOR UHL: Drain Commission Notice was received to review selected drains. Monroe County Road Commission notified us that the State approved to permanently close the bridge at Day Road and add dead-ends before each side of the bridge.

 

TRUSTEE GARY LAZETTE: Contract for the replacement Township Hall door has been signed and the door is ordered. Installation will be scheduled on a weekend. Cemetery flags have been ordered. Code Red invoice received.

 

TRUSTEE TRAVIS HORKEY: Indicated Gloff Road erosion.

 

 

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: Rick’s mowing is working to clean up cemeteries.

 

 

TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY: Thanked the library for their good work.

 

 

TREASURER LISA HUNT: Tax roll accepted at the County to collect late tax payments.

 

 

CLERK JEAN ANDERSON: No report at this time.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

• Discussed firemen hazard pay options. Will discuss again at future board meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Reimbursement Form presented to be incorporated as office form. Trustee Alana Horkey motioned to approve. Trustee Travis Horkey seconded. Motion Carried.

 

• Resolution 2023-Z-1, Amendment to Zoning Map presented. Trustee Alana Horkey motioned to approve Resolution 2023-Z-1. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion Carried. Roll Call vote: Trustee Lazette: Yes, Trustee Jaworski: Yes, Trustee Alana Horkey: Yes, Trustee Travis Horkey: Yes, Treasurer Hunt: Yes, Clerk Anderson: Yes, Supervisor Uhl: Yes. Resolution 2023-1 adopted.

 

• Discussed forming Compensation Committee to review all compensations. Trustee Lazette motioned to approve forming a compensation committee. Clerk Anderson seconded. Motion Carried.

 

• A Special Meeting Date was set for March 21, 2023 at 7:00pm with a Budget Workshop on March 21, 2023 at 5:30pm. Treasurer Hunt motioned to approve Special Meeting on March 21, 2023 at 7:00pm. Supervisor Uhl seconded. Motion Carried. Supervisor Uhl motioned to approve Budget Workshop on March 21, 2023 at 5:30pm. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion Carried.

 

• The 2023 LAP Bridge funding program letter for Bragg Rd Bridge at Swamp Raisin Creek with Resolution 2023-4 was reviewed. The program was discussed at 7% to local share of cost. Trustee Lazette motioned to approve Resolution 2023-4 at 7%. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Roll Call vote: Trustee Lazette: Yes, Trustee Jaworski: Yes, Trustee Alana Horkey: Yes, Trustee Travis Horkey: Yes, Treasurer Hunt: Yes, Clerk Anderson: Yes, Supervisor Uhl: Yes. • Resolution 2023-3 presented for PNC/New Enforcer TM Pumper, approved at February 28, 2023 Regular Board Meeting. Supervisor Uhl motioned to approve Resolution 2023-Z-1. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion Carried. Roll Call vote: Trustee Lazette: Yes, Trustee Jaworski: Yes, Trustee Alana Horkey: Yes, Trustee Travis Horkey: Yes, Treasurer Hunt: Yes, Clerk Anderson: Yes, Supervisor Uhl: Yes. Resolution 2023-3 adopted.

 

Additional board comments: Treasurer Hunt mentioned the Fundraiser for Fireman Rob Justice on March 25, 2023.

 

Treasurer Hunt motioned to pay the bills from March 14, 2023 in the amount of $19,432.71

Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion Carried.
