DUNDEE TOWNSHIP

REGULAR MEETING

APRIL 27, 2021

 

A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.    The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Present was: Supervisor Uhl, Treasurer Hunt and Trustees: Gary Lazette, C.J. Horkey, Travis Horkey and Ken Jaworski. Clerk Sanders was excused.

 

ADOPT/REVISE AGENDA:

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.

 

Approved meeting minutes from April 13, 2021 & waive reading. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve meeting minutes. Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to accept the treasurers report from March 2021. Trustee Travis Horkey. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.

Supervisor Uhl: None

 

 

Trustee C.J Horkey: Trustee Horkey gave a Fire Department update on recent calls.

Service calls for January: 63

Service calls for February: 80

Service calls for March: 100

The board discussed the issue with lift assistance calls that the Fire Department is receiving. We will discuss at a later date what the options are to help limit those calls.

 

 

Trustee Gary Lazette: April 22nd, Trustee Lazette attended the River Raisin Watershed council & was glad he attended. Clean up day went well. There were a lot of mattresses and older furniture. Trustee lazette also drove on Dixon rd. They are ditching with grad-all & getting ready for the upgrade.

 

Trustee Travis Horkey: None

 

Trustee Ken Jaworski: Oak Grove, the new road is in and the fence is up. No longer will guests be driving close to the graves.

 

Treasurer Lisa Hunt: None

 

Clerk Sharayah Sanders: None

 

 

Old Business:

*West Dunbar Rd. Update: The board discussed the options that are offered. There is not a lot of traffic outside of residents on that end. There are 2 railroads & 1 crossing with steep approach. The board discussed the things that would change should they decide to pave this section. It will be discussed at a later date in more detail.

 

 

New Business:

*New ordinance officer: The potential ordinance officer was unable to attend due to feeling ill. He hopes to make it to the next meeting.

 

*Dunlap E&W division drain: The board discussed the option to make a resolution for this project. The board will discuss in more detail and made a decision at the next meeting. Supervisor Uhl will ask Tim Csurgo to attend the next meeting to answer questions the board has.

 

ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL BOARD COMMENTS:

Trustee Travis Horkey discussed the crosstile information from Chris Stanley. Supervisor Uhl does have authority to approve, but it traditionally would be brought to the board.

Trustee CJ Horkey discussed the Unit 7 vehicle for the Fire Department. It is still out of service & waiting on parts to come in.

 

 

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to pay the bills in the amount of $21,402.07.

Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Gary Lazette made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion carried.

The next meeting will be held on May 11,2021 at 7pm.

 

The Meeting ended at 7:44pm.
