DUNDEE TOWNSHIP

REGULAR MEETING

MAY 25, 2021

 

 

A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, May 25, 2021.  Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.    The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Present was: Supervisor Uhl, Treasurer Hunt and Trustees: Gary Lazette, C.J. Horkey, Travis Horkey and Ken Jaworski. Clerk Sanders was excused.

 

ADOPT/REVISE AGENDA:  Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to adopt the agenda. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Travis Horkey made a motion to approve the Regular Board meeting minutes from April 27, 2021 & waive the reading, with the correction of striking the addition words “Trustee Travis Horkey” from paragraph 4. Trustee CJ Horkey supported. Motion carried.

 

Treasurer Hunt made a motion to accept the treasurers report from April 2021. Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion carried.

 

 

CORRESPONDENCE: 

• Notice of hearing for electric customers of DTE.

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to waive the reading & place on file. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

Supervisor Uhl: Supervisor Uhl discussed an email received about Dixon Rd. Cross-tiles. An estimate was given of $35,982.61 to replace 7 cross tiles on Dixon Rd.

The board discussed issues they had noticed as well as what the 7 cross tiles were & gave the go ahead to move forward with replacing discussed cross tiles.

 

Trustee C.J Horkey: Trustee CJ Horkey presented cleaning proposals from 3 companies for the Fire Hall. Currently the VFD are cleaning themselves but with the increase in calls it is becoming difficult to find the time to continue doing the cleaning themselves.

 

Trustee Gary Lazette: The new flags were installed at the cemetery. Still one to be replaced when wind calms down.

 

Trustee Travis Horkey: None

 

Trustee Ken Jaworski: None

 

Treasurer Lisa Hunt: None

 

Clerk Sharayah Sanders: Excused

 

Old Business:

-Tim Csurgo attended the meeting to discuss and explain the Dunlap E&W Division Drain.

* 2021- 6 MCRC Resolution. Dunlap E&W Division Drain.

After previous discussions on this resolution, a roll call was taken to adopt.

*Trustee Travis Horkey- Yes

*Trustee Ken Jaworski- Yes

*Treasurer Hunt- Yes

*Clerk Sanders- Excused

*Supervisor Uhl – Yes

The vote was unanimous. Motion carried.

 

New Business:

Ordinance Officer discussion:

Supervisor Uhl discussed the option of Tom Redmond becoming the new ordinance officer for Dundee Township. She discussed the current pay rate of $12.00 and proposed increasing it to $15.00 as well as phone & mileage support. Trustee Gary Lazette made a motion to hire Mr. Redmond as the new Ordinance Officer. Trustee CJ Horkey supported. Motion carried.

 

ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL BOARD COMMENTS: None.

 

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to pay the bills in the amount of $15,735.44. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Travis Horkey made a motion to pay the bills in the amount of $101,720.31.             Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Gray Lazette made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

The next meeting will be held on June 8,2021 at 7pm.
